Montana high school track and field athletes posted personal records and school marks at state meets during the week of May 25.
Riley Beck (Reed Point) ran 11:52.70 in the 3200 meters at the MHSA Class A-C State Meet, improving from her previous best of 12:22.81. The sophomore's time ranks #32 in Montana and #3 among sophomores, setting a Reed Point school record while finishing 8th of 44 competitors. Beck also set a personal record in the 1600 meters, running 5:30.53 after entering with a best of 5:43.95.
Kanon Reichman (Three Forks) clocked 15.45 in the 110m hurdles at the MHSA Class AA-B State Meet, dropping from his previous mark of 16.06. The time ranks #24 in the state and set a Three Forks school record, with Reichman placing 12th of 40 competitors. He also ran a personal best 41.52 in the 300m hurdles, improving from 42.68.
Ledger Martin (Conrad) ran 1:55.42 in the 800 meters at the MHSA Class AA-B State Meet, improving from his May 2026 best of 1:59.91. The mark ranks #10 in Montana and set a Conrad school record, with Martin finishing 8th of 39 competitors.
Ginger Bergland (Whitefish) ran 14.45 in the 100m hurdles at the MHSA Class A-C State Meet, improving from 15.09. The sophomore's time ranks #2 in Montana and #2 among sophomores, setting a Whitefish school record while finishing 2nd of 45 competitors. Bergland also set personal records in the 200 meters (25.99, previously 26.14), 300m hurdles (44.10, previously 44.66), and pole vault (9-0, previously 8-9).
Kayla Carney (Scobey) ran 12:19.66 in the 3200 meters at the MHSA Class A-C State Meet, improving from her May 2026 best of 12:55.61. The junior's time ranks #62 in Montana and #13 among juniors, with Carney placing 13th of 44 competitors.
