Montana high school track and field athletes posted personal records across multiple events during meets from May 11-15.
Lauren McManus (Glacier) threw 43-1 in the shot put at the Glacier Columbia Falls Dual on May 14, improving from her previous best of 29-0. The mark ranks second in Montana and set a Glacier High School record. McManus also set a personal record in the discus, throwing 78-0 after entering with a best of 69-4.
Ava Carter (Capital) ran 12.89 in the 100 meters at Capital/Helena High on May 14, lowering her previous best of 13.26 from May 2026. The sophomore now ranks 39th in the state and sixth among sophomores. Carter also improved in the 100-meter hurdles from 18.28 to 17.40.
Ashlyn Sokoloski (Billings West) clocked 13.27 in the 100 meters at the Billings Public School City Meet on May 14, improving from 13.64. The sophomore ranks 100th in Montana and 22nd among sophomores. Sokoloski also set a personal record in the long jump with a leap of 15-1, improving from 14-8.
Jaeleah Harris (Hardin) ran 5:37.80 in the 1600 meters at the Bill Kelly Eastern A Twilight Invitational on May 15, dropping from her previous best of 5:46.83 set in May 2026. The sophomore ranks 64th in the state and 10th among sophomores. Harris also improved her 800-meter time from 2:30.26 to 2:29.16.
Presley Swenson (Helena) ran 12.43 in the 100 meters at Capital/Helena High on May 14, improving from 12.72. The freshman ranks 10th in Montana and leads all freshmen in the event.
Jolee Klempel (Richey) ran 15.01 in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2026 District 2-C Track Meet on May 12, improving from 15.44. The mark ranks fourth in the state and set a Richey High School record. Klempel also set a personal record in the triple jump with a leap of 36-6.5, improving from 36-4.25.
Audrey Young (Joplin-Inverness) cleared 5-3 in the high jump at the District 10C Track & Field Meet on May 15, improving one inch from her previous best set in May 2026. The freshman ranks 11th in Montana and leads all freshmen in the event.
Madelynn Prinzing (Belt) cleared 5-4 in the high jump at the 9-C District HS Meet on May 13, improving from 5-3. The senior ranks fifth in the state and set a Belt High School record.
Nevaeh Cline (Capital) ran 13.01 in the 100 meters at Capital/Helena High on May 14, improving from 13.14. The sophomore ranks 54th in Montana and ninth among sophomores.
Kendall Dye (Whitefish) ran 5:26.75 in the 1600 meters at the Last Chance Quad on May 14, improving from 5:30.06 set in May 2026. The freshman ranks 35th in the state and eighth among freshmen.
Abby Boyd (Melstone) ran 12.97 in the 100 meters at the District 7-C Meet on May 15, improving from 13.08. The mark ranks 51st in Montana and set a Melstone High School record.
