Montana high school track and field athletes posted several personal bests and school records during competition from May 12-16.

Caleb Fifield (Capital, Helena) ran 11.49 in the 100 meters at the Capital/Helena High meet on May 14, improving from his previous best of 12.73. The sophomore finished 10th of 63 competitors and ranks #128 in Montana and #18 among state sophomores.

Isaac Mauws (Hobson) won the 110m hurdles in 16.20 at the District 7-C Meet on May 15, dropping from his previous PR of 16.89. Mauws ranks #40 in the state and also set PRs in the 100 meters (12.15, previous 12.34) and 300m hurdles (44.09, previous 44.13) at the same meet.

Aiden Burke (Billings West) threw 147-5 in the discus at the Billings Public School City Meet on May 14, improving from 136-7. Burke placed 5th of 13 competitors and ranks #24 in Montana.

Alex Arthur (Custer Co District, Miles City) ran 2:10.23 in the 800 meters at the Bill Kelly Eastern A Twilight Invitational on May 15, improving from 2:15.54. The sophomore finished 11th of 24 competitors and ranks #148 in the state and #24 among state sophomores.

Daniel Pederson (Glacier, Kalispell) threw 199-9 in the javelin at the Glacier Columbia Falls Dual on May 14, improving from his previous best of 186-1 set in May 2026. Pederson won the event among 12 competitors and ranks #1 in Montana.

Asher Renshaw (Hardin) ran 10:14.39 in the 3200 meters at the Bill Kelly Eastern A Twilight Invitational on May 15, improving from 10:32.16. The junior placed 3rd of 9 competitors and ranks #53 in the state and #15 among state juniors.

Delaware Braverman (Stevensville) ran 4:42.29 in the 1600 meters at the ABC Invite on May 16, improving from 4:49.65. The senior finished 6th of 29 competitors and ranks #66 in Montana and #29 among state seniors.

Brandon Williams (Joliet) ran 22.43 in the 200 meters at District 4B on May 12, breaking his previous school record of 22.86. Williams placed 3rd of 20 competitors, ranks #15 in the state and #1 among state seniors. He also set PRs in the 100 meters (11.24, previous 11.45), 110m hurdles (15.57, previous 15.61) and 300m hurdles (39.68, previous 39.78) at the same meet.

Caden Barth (Baker) threw 44-11 in the shot put at District 3B/4C on May 14, improving from 42-11.75. Barth won the event among 32 competitors and ranks #54 in Montana.

Tyler Frydenlund (Jefferson, Boulder) ran 49.87 in the 400 meters at the District 5B Meet on May 15, setting a school record and improving from his previous best of 50.38 set in May 2026. Frydenlund won the event among 15 competitors and ranks #12 in the state.

Lincoln Lyson (Baker) cleared 6-3 in the high jump at District 3B/4C on May 14, setting a school record and improving from 6-2 set in May 2026. The freshman won the event among 9 competitors and ranks #15 in the state and #1 among state freshmen. Lyson also set PRs in the 110m hurdles (19.02, previous 21.31) and 300m hurdles (48.27, previous 50.59) at the same meet.
