Montana high school track and field athletes posted personal bests across multiple events during recent competition.
Owen Pesanti (Anaconda) ran 11.36 in the 100 meters at the Gallatin Valley Invitational on April 21, improving from his previous best of 12.13 set in April 2026. The mark set a school record and ranks #45 in Montana, with Pesanti placing 5th of 100 competitors. Pesanti also set PRs in the high jump (5-6, from 5-0) and pole vault (9-6, from 9-0) at the same meet.
RJ Aragon (Whitehall) threw 45-9.5 in the shot put at the JHS Invitational on April 24, improving from his previous best of 39-8. The throw set a school record and ranks #37 in Montana, with Aragon winning the event among 36 competitors.
