The Big Sky Conference announced that Patrick Casey and was named Co-Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 14, 2011. He shares the honors with Diego Estrada of Northern Arizona.
Casey earned Track Athlete of the Week honors for the second consecutive week after another breakout performance at Brick Breeden Field House. At the Bozeman Running Company Invitational, the Laurel, Mont. native ran the 800 Meter Run with a time of 1:47.08, adjusted for altitude. His actual time of 1:47.67 stands as the new Big Sky record.
The middle distance runner is currently ranked second in the NCAA in the 800 Meter Run, and first in the Mile, after his sub-four minute performance on Feb. 4.
