Montana high school track and field athletes posted several personal records and school records during competition the week of April 20.
Owen Pesanti (Anaconda) ran 11.36 in the 100 meters at the Gallatin Valley Invitational on April 21, improving from his previous best of 12.13 set in April 2026. The mark ranks #45 in Montana and sets a new school record for Anaconda High School. Pesanti finished 5th of 100 competitors and also set personal records in the high jump (5-6, previous 5-0) and pole vault (9-6, previous 9-0).
Callie Stevens (Reed Point) ran 12:53.57 in the 3200 meters at the Gold Strike Invitational on April 25, dropping her time from 13:35.96 set in March 2026. The freshman ranks #64 in the state and #18 among freshmen after placing 8th of 16 competitors.
Addison Lookhart (Shields Valley) clocked 5:36.93 in the 1600 meters at the Gallatin Valley Invitational on April 21, improving from 6:03.42 set in April 2026. The freshman's time ranks #38 in Montana and #10 among freshmen while establishing a new school record for Shields Valley High School. Lookhart placed 3rd of 27 competitors.
RJ Aragon (Whitehall) threw 45-9.5 in the shot put at the JHS Invitational on April 24, improving from his previous mark of 39-8. The throw ranks #37 in Montana and sets a new school record for Whitehall High School. Aragon won the event among 36 competitors.
Brayden Zikmund (Manhattan) ran 11.00 in the 100 meters at the Gallatin Valley Invitational on April 21, improving from 11.49. The time ranks #6 in Montana and sets a new school record for Manhattan High School. Zikmund placed 2nd of 100 competitors.
Addison Auer (Billings Central Catholic) ran 13.04 in the 100 meters at Laurel Locos JV on April 21, dropping her time from 13.68 set in April 2026. The freshman ranks #42 in Montana and #6 among freshmen after winning the event among 37 competitors. Auer also set a personal record in the long jump (15-8, previous 15-5).
Sierra Ellis (Frenchtown) clocked 13.28 in the 100 meters at the Quad meet on April 21, improving from 13.85 set in March 2026. The sophomore ranks #67 in Montana and #14 among sophomores after placing 3rd of 22 competitors. Ellis also set a personal record in the 200 meters (28.61, previous 29.26).
