Several Montana high school track and field athletes set personal records at meets held during the week of March 30.
John Quigley (Jefferson, Boulder) cleared 6-7 in the high jump at the Avery Stiles Memorial Invitational on April 3, improving from his previous best of 6-2 set in May 2025. The mark ranks #3 in Montana and #1 among sophomores, and Quigley won the event among 17 competitors. He also set a personal record in the long jump, going 21-3 after entering with a best of 18-2.
Knoelle Ferguson (Capital, Helena) cleared 11-0 in the pole vault at the Glacier-Helena Capital Dual on April 3, improving from her previous personal record of 10-6. Ferguson won the event among four competitors and ranks #12 in the state.
Sirreal Rice (Flathead, Kalispell) ran 11.36 in the 100 meters at Flathead/Whitefish on March 31, dropping from his previous best of 11.72. Rice placed second among 69 competitors and ranks #60 in Montana.
McKinleigh Doherty (Jefferson, Boulder) ran 12.70 in the 100 meters at the Avery Stiles Memorial Invitational on April 3, improving from her previous personal record of 13.02. The sophomore won the event among 33 competitors, ranks #26 in the state and #2 among sophomores. Doherty also set a personal record in the long jump with a mark of 18-9.75, improving from 16-6.25.
Blake Galvin (Billings Sr, Billings) ran 11.31 in the 100 meters at Helena vs. Senior Dual on April 3, improving from his previous best of 11.59 set in May 2025. Galvin won the event among 48 competitors and ranks #46 in Montana. He also set a personal record in the 200 meters, running 23.54 after entering with a best of 24.48.
Brady Toner (Manhattan) threw 51-5 in the shot put at the Avery Stiles Memorial Invitational on April 3, improving from his previous personal record of 48-6. The senior won the event among 34 competitors, ranks #15 in the state and #1 among seniors. Toner also set a personal record in the discus with a throw of 137-4, improving from 108-4.
Quincy King (Big Sky, Missoula) threw 44-6 in the shot put at Flathead/Whitefish on March 31, improving from his previous best of 42-2.5 set in May 2025. King won the event among 25 competitors and ranks #79 in Montana. He also set a personal record in the 100 meters, running 12.86 after entering with a best of 13.09.
