The CoSIDA Academic All-District teams were announced today for track and field. Montana State's Matt Adams was chosen for first team honors. 

Matt Adams, a senior in Environmental Sciences from Seward, Alaska, achieved a 4.0 grade point average during outdoor track and field season.

Adams is an all-conference selection in cross country and outdoor track and field in the steeple chase. He recently competed in the NCAA West Preliminary and missed qualifying for the national meet in the steeple chase by .30 seconds.

By virtue of his first team honor, Adams will be eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-America team to be announced at a later date. CoSIDA All-Academic awards are based on student-athlete grade point average and athletic performance. The awards are voted on by college sports information directors and awarded by district.
