While part of the Montana State track and field team shuffled back and forth from venue to venue in southern California, their counterparts in Missoula had a going showing Saturday at Dornblaser Field.

The meet featured competitors from Montana, Montana State, University of Greal Falls, and MSU-Billings. On the women's side, Madeline Fuchs won the 400-meter hurdles followed in second by teammate Katie Niemeir.  Ashley Kropp and Courtney Austin took a pair of seconds and thirds in the long jump and triple jump. Tara Johnson and Mary Vaughan went one and two in the pole vault. Hannah Counter took the women's javelin while Amanda Murphy and Ali Jones went one and two in the women's hammer throw.

Scott Peterson won the 400-meter hurdles, and Patrick Casey, running unattached, too the 800-meter run. Nick Atwood, also running unattached, paced the 1500. MSU assistant coach Lyle Weese won the men's steeple chase running unattached followed by Patrick Casey and Seth Grossman. Nick Atwood and Graydon Curry ran one-two in the 5000. Unattached javelin thrower Nick Lam had a season best 223'2" to win the javelin. David Phillips, also competing unattached this season, won the men's hammer.

The Bobcats are on the road next weekend at the Weber State Dual Meet, a scored invite.
