Patrick Casey placed fourth in his trial of the men's mile at the NCAA Track and Field Indoor Championships this afternoon at Fayetteville, Arkansas, assuring him a spot in the final tomorrow. 

Casey's time of 4:05.72 was good enough for a fourth place.

"It was really a dramatic race," head coach Dale Kennedy said. "He ran from the back most of the race and then poured it on at the end to get fourth. He'll have to figure out how to run that race tomorrow."

Casey will run in the finals at 4:40 p.m. (MST) Saturday. The results of the trials are below:
