Montana State distance runner Nick Atwood ran a NCAA provisional mark in the 3000 meter race  at the Fleet Feet Invite in Bozeman on Friday. Atwood's 3000 mark of 8:15.24 (non-altitude adjusted) is a season best and will be on the top of the Big Sky Conference performance list as well.

Sophomore thrower David Phillips qualified for the Big Sky Conference meet in the men's shot put as did Carl Nystuen and Dan Jackson in the men's 3000.
 

Several Bobcats had personal bests in the meet including Sadie McMillan in the 55-meter hurdles, Bobby Biskupiak in the men's pole vault, Heather Haug in the mile and 800, Camille Marchand in the 200-meter dash, Adam Hutter in high jump, John MacDonald in the 200-meter,  and Stacey Irvine in the pole vault.
