National Boys Performer Of The Week (11/23-11/29)

* South Brunswick's Vidhur Polam is one of five National Performer of the Week nominees

It was a light week of action, with just a few cross country races taking place across the country.

That included the Texas UIL State Cross Country Championships, the Holmdel Invitational, the Midwest Meet of Champions and the Northeast HS Club Cross Country Championships, among others. So we're limiting this week's vote to five athletes.

But first, let's go back to last week's winner.

It was a race to the finish, but after securing 46-percent of the vote, Fordham's Myles Hogan claimed Week 14 honors.

The New York harrier won NPOTW by virtue of his performance at the Jesuit Championship on Nov. 21, wherein the athlete won the 2.5-mile course in 12:44.09. Hogan then claimed just over 1,000 votes, narrowly passing McCallie School's Evan Simpson, who had just over 900.

A big congrats goes out to Myles on the honor.

Now let's move on to Week 15 of the National Performer of the Week.

We'll have five candidates in this week's poll. Voting will end Friday, and we'll recognize the winner every Monday during the unveiling of the newest poll.
