It's a big country, and sometimes some of the top athletes from smaller states slip through the cracks when it comes to national coverage.
But over the years, we've seen some tremendous athletes come from these states and their regions. For instance, former University of Oregon All-American Trevor Dunbar and current Boise State All-American Allie Ostrander both came from Alaska. Former NCAA Division I discus champion and current professional John Godina hailed from Cheyenne, Wyoming. Former Stanford All-American Alicia Craig was a product of Campbell County High School in Wyoming. The 14th-fastest 3200 ever run by a high schooler? That was New Hampshire's own Elijah Moskowitz in 2015.
There are plenty of others worth mentioning, but we decided to get ahead of the curve and compile a list of stars from the 10 least populated states.
