For the second time in as many weeks, Amanda Murphy was named the Big Sky Field Athlete of the week.
The Chorlo, Mont. native finished in an impressive first place in the hammer throw at the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational on Sunday, May 1. Her distance of 193-05.00 (58.96m) marks her second best throw of the outdoor seasons. She also took eighth in the shot put with 43-08.00 (13.32m).
Murphy is currently ranked 24th in the nation in the hammer throw. She leads the Big Sky in the hammer and sits in fourth in the shot put.
