VT's Ben Thomas Takes Oregon Coaching Position

It was a huge day for Virginia college coaching today (7/16). Not only did UVA lose its' coach to Texas but so did Virginia Tech who had Coach Ben Thomas leave to head up the Distance & XC Program at the University of Oregon.

Thomas has spent nearly 20 years at Virginia Tech and has produced some of the best runners in the nation year after year. He also was a master recruiter inside the state of Virginia getting many state champions to run down in Blacksburg.

Both the UVA and VT position are currently open and expected to be filled immediately with XC approaching. Expect both programs though to continue their winning ways with solid athletes already enrolled and likely great coaches to continue the success of the past.
